A visa is authorization for a foreign national to travel to Tanzania and present themselves for entry clearance. A Visa Grant Notice confirms permission to enter Tanzania upon meeting any remaining entry conditions at the point of entry.
Two Ways to Obtain a Tanzania Visa

Passport Validity Requirements

Ordinary Visa Documentation

No Changes After Submission
Once you submit your application, NO CHANGES are allowed. Double-check all passport info, personal details, travel dates, and contact information before submitting.
Rejection Reasons May Not Be Shared
If rejected, immigration may or may not share reasons. You may request feedback, contact immigration directly, or consider reapplying with improved documentation. All fees remain non-refundable.
No Changes to Approved Visa Grant
If approved, you CANNOT request to delay or change dates on the Visa Grant Notice. Travel within approved dates only.
Don't Travel Before Approval
DO NOT travel before visa approval. You may have to pay additional non-refundable fees at the airport or be denied entry.
Follow Visa Grant Notice Dates
Travel only within approved start and end dates. Entry after expiry will be denied.
Visa Grant ≠ Guaranteed Entry
A Visa Grant Notice does NOT guarantee entry. Final decision lies with Immigration Officer at the border based on security, health, and document verification.

Third-Party Vendor Discretion
Vendors may request additional documents or decline processing. If not submitted, visa fee may be refunded but service fee remains non-refundable.
